Resisted winds of up to 110 mph (met Miami-Dade County standards, some of the strictest in the U.S.) This is the equivalent of a Category-4 Hurricane. Handled downpours of up to 22" per hour / 528" per day. The record one-day rainfall is 43 inches recorded in Alvin, Texas on July 25, 1979.*
